Bonding/White fillings

Tooth colored fillings are nothing new.  The advantages over silver fillings are easy to see.  What most people do not know is that tooth-colored composite also allows the dentist to keep more of your tooth in tact when removing decay.  Because of increased strength, and the fact that they are bonded to the tooth, they can be made smaller than a silver filling.

“Bonding” is a term used when describing composite filling material on front teeth.  Composite can be used to close gaps between teeth, cover discolored areas, change the shape or size, or even link two teeth together for strength.
